Purpose
The Director deeply understands the team’s users and customers.
The Director sets objectives and priorities for the value to be created.
Notes
The Director acts like the manager and protector of the value stream.
The Director is similar to the Product Owner in Scrum and the “Spotify Model“ and the Product Owner in SAFe.
Rules / Constraints
There is typically only one Director but pairing and rotation are good options.
